Delhi - Agra - Jaipur

Visit to Taj Mahal, Royal Rajasthan...

Enjoy a taste of India on this outstanding short tour to the most famous sights in the subcontinent. Your journey takes you to India's "Golden Triangle" beginning in the bustling capital of New Delhi. From here you travel to the incomparable Taj Mahal, a magnificent expression of Emperor Shah Jahan's undying love for his wife. Visiting Forts, temples, tombs and palaces. This journey offers a great insight into the days of the Mughals. En-route Jaipur, explore the exquisitely preserved ruins of Fatehpur Sikri. Later drive to romantic Pink City of Jaipur, visiting the Palace of Winds and the ancient city of Amber, the lively and unique spirit of the subcontinent.

Day 01 - Delhi Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 - Delhi. Morning half day city sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi - visit Qutab Minar , India Gate (war memorial), Lakshminarayan Temple-modern Hindu temple, drive past President's House, Parliament House and Secretariat Buildings. Also visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana- the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort (Red Fort is closed every Monday) and Chandni Chowk.

Afternoon free for independent activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 -Delhi/Agra. Morning leave by surface for Agra. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon half day city tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the halls of private and public audience and other palaces. (Taj Mahal is closed on every friday) Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 - Agra/Jaipur. Morning leave by surface for Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 & abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including Jama Masjid , Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces.

On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 -Jaipur. Morning half day excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. Ascend on elephant back, the hill, on which the Fort is situated.

Afternoon half day city sightseeing tour visiting Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose-pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 -Jaipur/Delhi/Leave Delhi. Morning leave by surface for Delhi. On arrival transfer to airport to connect flight for onward journey.
