Take a trip to Rajasthan, where Rajput's built some of the
most imposing and magnificent Forts and palaces in the world.
Sawai Jai Singh's seven stored City Palace, Amer Fort - Jaipur,
Mehrangarh Fort , Umaid Bhawan Palace - Jodhpur City Palace,
Lake Palace - Udaipur, Junagarh Fort and Lalgarh Palace of Bikaner.
Visit Buddhist ruins at Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar and Nalanda,
famous as being the ancient site of the university for Buddhist
studies.
In South India. Visit Mamallapuram, a short drive from madras.
The famous landmark here, the Shore Temple, is the lone survivor
of the original seven temples - the others having given - in
to erosion by the constant lashing of the sea and the salty
sea breeze. Madurai is one of the most ancient cities with a
history dating back to the 6th Century BC a landmark of this
bustling town is the grand Meenakashi Temple with its hall of
thousand pillars.
